Ticket Request Policy

All current, paid members have the ability to apply for tickets for any Manchester City match, home or away, regardless of competition.

If you wish to request tickets, please read the following in full, as the process has recently changed. (As much as we all wish for it to be, this is not our Tickets Manager’s full-time job, so we appreciate you being mindful of his time by reading before reaching out to him.)

Note that many of these policies have been instituted by Manchester City and not us.

Policies:

Firstly, we are unable to process ticket requests for residents outside of the New York/Tri-State area (New York City, Long Island, Westchester, northern New Jersey, and Connecticut) due to the massive increase in global demand for game day tickets. This policy comes directly from Manchester City and not us. If you live outside this area, your ticket request will be denied. No exceptions will be made.

Additionally, you cannot request tickets through more than one OSC branch.

Manchester City also requires every member requesting tickets through us to have a separate Matchday Membership, which can be purchased through the club for a fee of £35 GBP per season. We unfortunately cannot process any ticket requests without a corresponding Matchday Membership.

The Ticket Request Process:

  1. When Manchester City gives us a game order window, we will email that time frame out to all current members. Tickets can only be ordered in the game ticket window—not before or after. Be aware, the club usually gives us extremely tight windows and do not allow exceptions.

    • PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept any attempts to “cut the queue” by requesting tickets before they are available to us. If anything, that will only send you to the back of the line when they are.

  2. Members can request tickets for any match, home or away, for any competition, by emailing us at newyorkskyblues@gmail.com. Members can make requests only for themselves—no exceptions—but they can request more than one ticket, provided that everyone in your party is a current, paid member of the New York Sky Blues.

    • PLEASE NOTE: If you wish to request tickets for friends and family, they have to also be active, paid New York Sky Blues members with corresponding Matchday Memberships as well.

  3. If allocated, each supporter will receive an email directly from Man City asking them to pay for their ticket. As mentioned above, a separate Matchday Membership is required to purchase tickets through the OSC.

  4. Once the supporter receives their link, they have 48 hours to pay. Failure to pay within this time frame means the ticket will be withdrawn. (Again, no exceptions.)

  5. Once paid, the supporter will receive a purchase confirmation.

  6. The tickets will then be sent directly to the Supporter either as a Mobile Ticket, a PDF, or mailed as a Paper Ticket.

Before requesting tickets, please make sure that your Cityzens account details are correct, specifically your mailing address, mobile phone number, and email address, as City have made it absolutely clear that they will not be held responsible if a supporter’s details are incorrect, which could potentially lead to your tickets to not arrive.
