Ticket Request Policy

All current, paid members have the ability to apply for tickets for any Manchester City match, home or away, regardless of competition.

If you wish to request tickets, please read the following in full, as the process has recently changed. (As much as we all wish for it to be, this is not our Tickets Manager's full-time job, so we appreciate you being mindful of his time by reading before reaching out to him.)

Policies:

Firstly, we are unable to process ticket requests for residents outside of the New York/Tri-State area (New York City, Long Island, Westchester, northern New Jersey, and Connecticut) due to the massive increase in global demand for game day tickets. This policy comes directly from Manchester City and not us. If you live outside this area, your ticket request will be denied. No exceptions will be made.

Additionally, you cannot request tickets through more than one OSC branch.

Manchester City also requires every member requesting tickets through us to have a separate Matchday Membership, which can be purchased through the club for a fee of £35 GBP per season. We unfortunately cannot process any ticket requests without a corresponding Matchday Membership.

The Ticket Request Process:

  • Manchester City informs us when tickets for matches become available. In the case of league matches, this window generally opens one month beforehand. For cup games, these come around much faster depending on City's progress. These windows generally stay open for less than a week.

  • Tickets can only be ordered in the game ticket window, not before or after. The Ticket Manager emails all members as the windows open, providing details and deadlines. No requests will be entertained before these emails are sent. Please do not attempt to jump the line. It will not help you.

  • In order to request tickets, you must be a member of our branch and also have purchased the Matchday Membership from Manchester City. That goes if you are requesting only for yourself, or for a group of people; in the latter case, every single member of your party must be an approved member of the New York City branch and also have purchased a Matchday Membership, and every single member of the party's name and Supporter Numbers must be included in the request to the Ticket Manager. If any member of the requesting party does not have these before requesting tickets, your request will not be submitted until they have acquired them. There will be no exceptions.

  • After requests are submitted, Manchester City then determines how many tickets our branch is allocated, depending upon demand for each fixture and, in the case of away matches, the allocation provided to City by the hosting club. As such, do be aware that higher profile fixtures, and those away to clubs with smaller grounds, will have fewer tickets available to us than others.

  • Any tickets allocated to our branch are then allocated to supporters who have requested them, in the order in which they were received; they will receive an email from the Ticket Manager confirming that they have received tickets. At this point, if you get that email, you are guaranteed your ticket.

  • Following this, each supporter will receive an email directly from Man City asking them to pay for their ticket; this email can come any time following allocation, as soon as the next day or up to the day before the match. We have no control over when City deposits the tickets; we can only recommend members keep a very close eye on their inboxes.

  • Once the supporter receives their link, they have 48 hours to pay. Failure to pay within this time frame means the ticket will be withdrawn, and City will ban you from requesting tickets for at least four matches. In such cases, the Ticket Manager reserves the right to deny further ticket requests, depending on circumstances. Thus, it is extremely important to make sure you are going to be able to make the match before you begin this process.

  • We understand that life happens and not everything can be anticipated, but our relationship with City and ability to procure match tickets for our members is dependent on tickets we request being used. When members drop out at the last hurdle, they are less inclined to allocate us tickets, and everyone suffers.

  • Once paid, the supporter will receive a purchase confirmation. The tickets will then be sent directly to the Supporter either as a Mobile Ticket, a PDF, or as a paper ticket to be picked up directly on matchdays.

  • Before requesting tickets, please make sure that your Cityzens account details are correct, specifically your mailing address, mobile phone number, and email address, as City have made it absolutely clear that they will not be held responsible if a supporter’s details are incorrect. If your details are not correct, you will not receive your tickets.

We realize this is a lot of steps, and is not at all like you may be used to if you have purchased tickets to American sporting events. For better or for worse, these are the constraints we must operate under. However, our success rate in securing tickets for our members who follow this policy is extremely high, and we look forward to continuing as such this season.

Thanks for reading, and paying attention. Here's to another season following City over land and sea.

“Absolutely loved being over in NYC. The City fans there are amazing. Big up the New York Sky Blues. Heroes.”
